In the video, a group of clay figures is seen performing a Totentanz – a Danse Macabre – in front of cardboard and real construction sites as well as buildings. Bringing to mind the melodic and popular style of Kurt Weill's Songspiel, however, these characters, that waltz on a stage made from rotating EUR-pallets, or roam the streets of a shiny yet faceless office district in the centre of Berlin don’t speak or sing. Instead, their acts of complacency and resistance are backdropped by fleeing corporate logos and free-market catchphrases.
